Daniel Musgjerd is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 6-0 181 lb. frame from Excelsior, MN who attends 276 Minnetonka HS. Solid athletic build with broad shoulders and plenty of remaining projection. Throws from a high 3/4's arm slot and gets close to over the top on his curveball, has good arm speed, best when he's getting fully out front and over his front side. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, gets some ride and carry up in the zone, tends to pitch up with his fastball, had better command of his fastball to left handed hitters this outing. Curveball has 12/6 shape and some downer depth, got in a good groove landing his curveball for strikes, can add more power to this pitch. Change up was a good pitch with true arm speed and can be thrown more often. Left handed hitter, hits from a tall stance with a short inside swing path, worked middle away with some barrel accuracy. Good student. Named to the Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
