2022 Summer Main Event Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Luke O'Malley is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Lassiter. Strong and mature build. Well controlled slow paced delivery on the mound, long stride out front, clean arm circle and has easy mechanics to repeat. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight but seems to get on hitters quickly, gets out at the top of the zone with his fastball and is a strike thrower with the pitch, maintained his velocity very well. Tended to wrap his curveball occasionally in back and tip the pitch but gets hard spin and lands the breaking ball very well for strikes. Really filled up the zone and had a nice four-inning outing. Has a spot at the right school at the next level. Outstanding student. Named to the Summer Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
