Daniel Ruiz is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from San Gabriel, CA who attends Maranatha. He showed good speed with a 6.99 second sixty. A primary left-handed pitcher with a lean skinny build showing room to fill out moving forward. On the mound he starts with a small side step up to a belt high leg lift, the delivery id very controlled allowing him to repeat ti well, the fastball shows some cutting action at 76-79 mph with good extension out front getting it to both sides, tends to get no the side of the curveball at times flattening it out from a more tradition curveball, the changeup showed as his best secondary with maintained arm speed and flashes of sinking action in the mid 60's. In the outfield he works under control to the baseball with a game like gather and full arm action, he has solid feel for the fundamental in the outfield. Left-handed hitter, starts with an even base and taller stance with lower hands, the barrel works short and sweet to the ball throwing his hands at the ball and working the ball consistently back up the middle with some projectable jump off the barrel.
