Jacob McCormick is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Bishop Gorman. Strong athletic build. Side step delivery to a high leg raise over the rubber, uses his strong lower half well getting down the mound and has good direction into release, has a clean arm stroke from a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked mostly in the low 80's and topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight with occasional running life, showed the ability to work to both sides of the plate and throw fastball strikes. Change up was a solid second pitch for him, killed the spin effectively and had feel for the pitch. Flashed a soft curveball and will have to further develop a breaking ball for the next step in his development. Excellent student. Named to the Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
