Ian Anderson is a 2016 RHP with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Rexford, NY who attends Shenendehowa HS. Slender young looking build, loose and very projectable physically. Well paced delivery with a side step start, high leg raise, builds momentum to the plate, some backside collapse but drives to the plate in good sequence and uses his lower half well, high 3/4's arm slot with a fast and loose arm. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 mph with good downhill plane, gets good sinking action frequently, fastball gets on hitters quickly. Power curveball has tight spin and sharp 12/6 bite at times, swing and miss pitch when located. High ceiling young talent who really projects and knows how to pitch. Verbal commitment to Vanderbilt. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic Team.
