Robert Stephenson is a 2011 RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Martinez, CA who attends Alhambra HS. Long lean athletic build, not close to filling out. Big leg raise delivery, drifts forward, 3/4's slot, not much effort on release. Loose and very fast arm, steady 92-93 mph fastball explodes out of his hand, plenty more velo in there, gets some arm side run. Mid 70's curveball has short tight break, flashed a nice change but rarely used. Big time arm with a ceiling. Good student, verbal commitment to Washington. Selected for the Aflac All-American team.
