Jayden Espinal (2027 MIF, Bayshore, NY) tossed an efficient three innings of work, striking out three batters in the process. The sturdy right-hander pounded the zone with the fastball and topped it out at 80 mph. The heater showed natural arm-side run with life through the zone. He complimented it with a two-plane breaking ball with some late downward bite.

Andrew Marino (2027 C, Merrick, NY) attacked a fastball early in the count and launched it over the center fielder’s head for a triple. The 5-foot-10 right-handed hitter showcased strength in the hands and at impact, along with more power to project for.

Alex Sangiorgi (2027 SS, Stony Brook, NY) had an impressive performance both on the offensive and defensive end. He met a two-strike fastball with a barrel and dropped it into the right-center field gap for an RBI double. The 5-foot-9 right-handed hitter showcased developing power from gap to gap and finished the game 3-for-3 at the plate. Sangiorgi also put together an efficient outing on the mound, punching out five batters through three innings of work.

Matthew Chin (2027 SS, Mount Sinai, NY) was on the barrel all day long, finishing live action 3-for-3 with a single, double and a triple. The 5-foot-7 right-handed hitter manipulates the barrel well in and around the strike zone and impacts the baseball with authority. He showcased the ability to backspin baseballs from gap to gap with ease.

Jack Yantosh (2027 1B, Glen Mills, PA) shortened up with two strikes and dropped one in short left-center for a single. The 6-foot right-handed hitter has a good feel for the barrel and controls it well throughout the strike zone. He displayed a mature approach at the plate with a nifty ability to read spin.

Anthony Rosario (2028 SS, Muskegon, MI) flashed the leather all-game long, making several difficult plays look routine on the left-side of the infield. The 2028 prospect showcased good lateral range along with an accurate arm across the diamond.

Aiden Torres (2027 OF, West Babylon, NY) timed up a fastball and lined it right back up the middle for a leadoff single. The 5-foot-8 right-handed hitter displayed intriguing bat speed and creates good strength at impact to the middle of the field.

Ashton Cortorreal (2028 OF, Methuen, MA) turned on a first-pitch heater and launched it over the left fielder’s head for extra bases. The switch-hitter creates good whip to the barrel through the zone along with leverage to the pull-side.

Xavier Micheli (2028 C, Massapequa Park, NY) took a fastball the other way for a leadoff single. He has intriguing bat-to-ball skills and commands the barrel well around the strike zone. The right-handed hitter adjusts well at the plate and can work the entire field.

Peyton Conto (2028 RHP, Hopewell Junction, NY) went 2-for-3 with an RBI in live action. The 2028 prospect showcased consistent barrel skills along with the ability to work the entire field.

Jake Ostertag (2027 OF, Babylon, NY) consistently found the pull side left centerfield gap throughout his round, creating carry on the baseball with a simple hand load and overall repeatable path. He controlled the barrel well with good usage of the lower half.

Myles Benitez (2027 3B, Stony Point, NY) worked the middle pull side of the field effectively for solid barrels, flashing solid strength in the hands with power projection remaining in the 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame. The lefty effectively got the barrel out in front with natural lift in the path. 

Matthew Chin (2027 SS, Mount Sinai, NY) squared up baseballs with backspin to the middle of the field, extending nicely with strength present in the lower half. The righty displayed the ability to take outside pitches the opposite way with good coverage of the zone throughout his round. 

Jordan DeJesus (2027 OF, New York, NY put some serious bat speed on display from the left side, barreling up baseballs to all parts of the field with present drive from the lower half. He showcased advanced barrel skills with additional power projection on the way.

1-Columbia Blue vs 2-Red Game Highlights >>

Myles Benitez (2027 3B, Stony Point, NY) made a nice diving play at 3B early in the game, extending towards the line before firing accurately across the diamond. The 6-foot-2, 180 pound prospect displayed good range and reaction time with an internal clock to release in time to record an out.

Aiden Prashad (2027 RHP, Richmond Hill, NY) provided some defensive value behind the dish in the 3rd, gunning a runner out at 2B displaying a quick compact arm action and sound footwork to pair. 

Jake Ostertag (2027 OF, Babylon, NY) did a nice job of recognizing off speed early and sitting back to drive a double to deep LF in his first plate appearance. The 6-foot-2, 165 pound prospect flashed young power potential with natural lift in the bat path. He followed up the next AB with another driven ball to LF, showing off the repeatability to the stroke and overall offensive consistency.

Anthony Rosario (2028 SS, Muskegon, MI) shot a single back up the middle in his final AB of the day, displaying solid barrel control with backspin created on the baseball. 

Peyton Conto (2028 RHP, Hopewell Junction, NY) hammered a line drive single into the left centerfield gap in the 6th inning, staying on a breaker effectively with solid bat speed through the zone. 

Jordan DeJesus (2027 OF, New York, NY) picked up a solid single to CF to finish his day, generating impact out in front with good barrel skills present. The projectable 6-foot, 155 pound lefty displayed a fluid stroke with good coverage of the zone.

Aiden Torres (2027 OF, West Babylon, NY) displayed good contact tool at the plate to drive in a pair of RBI late in the game, picking up a clutch single to LF. The righty effectively demonstrated a simple line drive approach  with additional juice becoming more prominent in the future.
