4- Maroon vs. 3- Columbia Blue Game Highlights >>

8/26/2023 11:27:39 PM

Owen Boyer (2025, Franklin, TN) led off the game with a really nice piece, sending a liner the other way for a backside base hit. The left-handed bat possesses a smooth and functional stroke with a fluid barrel through the zone. The backstop also caught a runner stealing, delivering a perfect throw to catch them.

Porter Hay (2026, Lewisport, KY) showed some very good stuff on the mound. Starting for Maroon, the righty sat in the 82-84 range, displaying a full three-pitch mix. The curveball featured tight spin and the change plays well off of the heater.

Blake Cope (2026, Zionsville, IN) drove a ball into left centerfield for a double in the top of the fourth. The Indiana native is physical with strength out front and very god power projection moving forward.

Mattox Hinkle (2024, Washington, IN) was impressive in his outing. The right-hander lived in the low-80s and worked from a really nice tempo. Hinkle also showed plenty of comfort in a tight cutter than worked in the mid-70s.

Garrett Church (2026, Goreville, IL) picked up a base hit, powdering a liner into center field. The ball jumps off the bat with ease and there is certainly upside and thump in the stick.

Aidan Kletke (2024, Huntsville, AL) drilled a ball into the opposite field gap for a double in the bottom of the sixth. The bat speed is advanced, and he swings the bat with lots of intent. The athleticism translates on the mound as well, sitting in the low-80s with a quick arm.

Carson Pack (2025, Murfreesboro, TN) showed some bat-missing stuff on the bump. The righty sat in the 85-87 range, topping 88 with heavy downhill plane. Pack paired the heater with a big overhand curveball that he was able to land for strikes.

Batting Practice Highlights  >>

8/26/2023 5:32:21 PM

William Bobo (2025 Shelbyville TN) with an impressive round finding the barrel and lifting it to all fields. Showing easy bat speed with plenty of athleticism within the operation.

Brennen Gibson (2025 Clarksville TN) showing some strength at impact driving the ball deep to all fields. The swing is very aggressive with a lot of intent and some tilt to the bat path.

Jericho Morris-Johns (2024 Stouffville,ON-CAN) with plenty of physicality in the box with some quickness in the path and strength at contact. He has plenty of projection and shows a lot to like on the bump as well.

Carson Pack (2025 Murfreesboro TN)  Keeps the swing very simple and repeatable finding barrels to the middle of the field with some tilt to the path and ability to manipulate the barrel through the zone.

Blake Cope (2026 Zionsville IN)  with a bigger physical presence in the box that shows a ton of strength at impact with advanced bat speed for his age. Very projectable in the box.

Landon Rogers (2025 Arlington TN)  with a very low effort operation in the box showing good angle to the bat path and consistent feel for the barrel driving the ball to all fields. Working with a clean weight transfer within the lower half and some strength.

Trent Wood (2025 Nashville TN)  starts out with a balanced base with some aggression within the lower half with some quickness within the barrel. Driving the ball on a line to all fields with plenty of tools to like throughout his game.
