2023 Fall Northeast Showcase (08/26/2023 - 08/27/2023)

3-Green vs 4-Grey Game Highlights
8/27/2023 12:03:17 AM

Vince Cannizzaro (2025 3B, Yorktown Heights, NY) wasted no time jumping on a FB in the bottom of the 1st for a rocket double to deep CF, using all of the 5-foot-11, 187 pound frame to drive the baseball with carry and backspin. The righty prospect generates solid hip torque and shifts the weight effectively through impact.

Thomas McMichael (2024 RHP, Hicksville, NY) came out chucking on the mound, touching 84 mph in the first inning with heaviness present on the heat. He ultimately struck out four in two innings of work, getting down the mound effectively utilizing a simple repeatable operation to pound the zone for called strikes and swing and miss.

Michael Oliveto (2025 C, Smithtown, NY) smoked a line drive single to LF in his first plate appearance displaying effortless bat speed with good jump off the barrel. The athletic 6-foot-1, 170 pound lefty continued to square up baseballs throughout the game and successfully utilized all parts of the field.

Anthony Depetro (2025 C, Staten Island, NY) ended his day strong with a roped line drive single to the pull side, effectively pulling the hands inside the baseball with barrel control and bat speed present.

Frankie Kentoffio (2025 SS, Patchogue, NY) looked sharp on the mound during the late innings of the game, finishing with a final stat line of three strikeouts and only one hit allowed in two innings of work. The projectable 6-foot, 162 pound righty generated solid arm speed through release from a full arm stroke, mixing a FB/SLV mix well to record outs efficiently.
