2023 California Workout Showcase (Saturday)
Will Paxton is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Tehachapi, CA who attends Highland. He has a tall frame with and athletic build and plenty of present strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.45 seconds. Primary outfielder that approaches the ball with tons of confidence and under control. He is plenty comfortable in the outfield and fields the ball cleanly and makes fluid exchanges. He does a nice job of throwing downhill and showed consistent one hop accuracy to the target. Offensively, he starts with a medium base and a low hand set. He has a big leg lift trigger for timing and loads deep into his back leg and hip. He has a longer swing through the zone that features plenty of intent. he has a slightly uphill swing and looks to elevate the ball. He does a nice job of using his lower half and driving through the baseball. His strength is obvious when he is on time and makes contact out in front of the plate. Excellent student. Named to the 2023 California Workout Showcase (Saturday) Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
