Hudson Oliver is a 2028 OF/LHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Guntersville, AL who attends Guntersville. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.32 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, sound fundamentals to and through the ball, fields it with rhythm to actions, sound footwork, fields the ball cleanly and shows present strength and accuracy on throws. Also pitched, showed well on the mound, leg lift up to core, low effort delivery with a clean and medium length arm stroke through the back. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, simple operation and repeats well, creates running life to fastball and filled the zone; mixed a short curveball at 62 mph that'll continue to develop. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a lower hand set; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Keeps hands inside the ball and shows present hand speed in swing, creates some jump off of the barrel. Best contact when getting extended out front, can implement additional lower half shift into contact, solid bat speed with some present loft. Excellent student.
