Conner Barkel is a 2024 3B/C/IF with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Huntertown, IN who attends Carroll. Large strong and athletic frame with present physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in a respectable 7.19 seconds. Primary position IF with active feet creating efficient lower body patterns. Works athletically through the ball and leads into a fairly long arm action. Arm strength is there as he registered throws up to 78 mph across the infield. Accuracy and overall carry on throws will improve as he shortens the arm action. Right handed hitter with a strong presence in the box and utilizing a closed stance. Does start with his back elbow high and this creates a swing plane issue at times. Torso works well to create torque and there is serious strength in the hands. A simplified start will get him on plane sooner and when he does there is very loud contact coming off his bat. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
