2023 Pittsburgh Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Jonah Willochell is a 2025 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Murrysville, PA who attends Franklin Regional. Strong young build, especially in the lower half. 7.79 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has good footwork and works through the ball well, makes accurate throws with a flexible arm stroke and release, has been coached up well at that position. Also worked out in the outfield. Right handed hitter, has a long and lifting swing, looking to pull the ball and gets his front side open early, barrel tends to lag behind, has the strength to develop as a hitter with adjustments. Took a turn on the mound, has drop and drive mechanics with a 3/4's arm action and good extension out front on release. Fastball worked in the upper 70's with some slight arm side running life. Also threw a short curveball that he spotted well. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
