Carson Hupp is a 2026 OF/LHP with a 5-10 182 lb. frame from Chesterfield, VA who attends Clover Hill. Medium current frame with present strength and plenty of time to grow and add more physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.56 seconds. Primary position OF, working deliberately to the ball with proper angles. Did not carry momentum through the play but presented the glove well out front. Clean transfer to medium inline arm path creating throws up to 80 mph back to the infield. Secondary LHP, working from a wide offset start and operating in the middle of the rubber. Quick step to side before reaching abbreviated leg lift over the rubber. Stationary hands at the belt where he breaks into a compact inline arm path before accelerating through a 3/4 arm action. Obvious deception creating a lot of soft contact. Fastball peaked at 76 mph this outing, moving it around the zone and mixed in low-60s vertical breaker and solid change up that induced weak contact. Showed good feel for handling the running game using nice pick off move as well. LHH starting even with a high handset and using small leg lift to get going. Quiet upper body mechanics and direct path to impact creating a lot of solid low line drives. Hands work and there is more in there from a power standpoint. Really performed in game action, collecting several hard hit base hits including a triple over the right fielders head. Elite performer in the classroom too.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
