Noah Ellis is a 2023 RHP/1B, 2B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Montgomery, OH who attends Sycamore. Recorded a 7.47 second 60 yard dash time. Large frame and rangy build with great physical projection moving forward. Primary right-handed pitcher with a stiff operation overall, hooks his arm through the back and slings it from a low three-quarters slot. Short and closed stride with a restricted delivery, fastball has cut action to it. Flashed a changeup with cut as well, has good action to it and shows some feel for a cutter-change mix that play well off each other. Throws a slower curveball with a slurvy shape to it, will improve as he creates more angle and continues to develop his command/control. Secondary first baseman with a short arm action and a quick transfer and release. Has some feel for the glove and his hands are soft. Choppy footwork at present with developing foot speed and arm strength. Has an idea of the footwork required. Right-handed hitter with a narrow stance and high hand and back elbow set. Utilizes a small stride forward and has a big arm bar to start his load. Longer swing path, flips the wrists and has a hand-dominant swing. Shows a middle to opposite field approach, will improve impact potential as he increases his bat speed and uses his lower half more actively. Excellent student.
