John Evan Sikes is a 2025 SS/RHP, OF, UT with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Baxley, GA who attends Appling County. Medium frame with an athletic build. Primary shortstop, fundamental actions shown in the workout, clean two hand funnel out front, arm works well and throws were extremely accurate. Played third base in game action and has good feel for the position, making good plays with two long and accurate throws. Secondary right-handed pitcher, starts on the third base side of the rubber, side step to a belt high leg lift, medium arm swing to a three-quarters slot. Stiff movements down the slope, will continue to add velocity as he gets stronger. Fastball got up to 76 mph (1515 RPM) and mixed an 11-5 shaped curveball, up to 63 mph (1634 RPM). RIght-handded hitter, high hands and a high back elbow, downhill path path, strong and fast hands, segmented swing, got better as the round went on. Trusts his hands and hit the ball hard to the opposite field. Excellent student.
