Sam Muller is a 2025 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-11 152 lb. frame from Mamaroneck, NY who attends Iona Prep. Long, lean frame with athletic look to it and plenty of room to physically mature. Primary outfielder with deliberate actions into and throughout the fielding process. Fields cleanly out in-front, gathers smoothly and maintains momentum into release. Fluid transitions into a loose, longer arm action and recorded fairly accurate throws with developing arm strength up to 77 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Fairly simple delivery with belt high leg lift and shorter stride out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 76 mph from a whippy three-quarters arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone due to some cross-body movements prior to release, mixed in 11-5 shaped breaking ball with promising spin profile and some vertical tilt to it. Will continue to improve with minor mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Took part in the infield portion of the defensive workout as well, where he displayed similar deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process. Fields out in-front with clean exchange and recorded arm strength up to 79 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, open stance with a flat hand start and leg lift trigger. Incorporates deeper hand load as he separates into contact. Displayed consistent bat-to-ball skills with occasional line drives to the middle-of-the field, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Fundamentally sound overall skill set with upside and projection on both sides of the ball. Good Student. Named to the 2022 13/14U Summer Northeast Top Prospect List.
