Aron Vargas is a 2027 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-6 180 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Victoria West. Physical build with present size. Ran a 8.28 in the sixty. Showed well in outfield and infield drills. Developing footwork with accurate arm and developing arm speed. Solid turns at first base and a fundamental approach. Made all the plays, looked comfortable fielding out in front. Also pitched, methodical leg lift pause at top into a three-quarter slot. Mixed in a big 1-7 curveball and pitched with good intent. Solid strikes with mix. Right-handed hitter, open stance and narrow base with high hand set. Direct path gets on plane well with some lift in finish. Stays short to the baseball and has a good understanding of working short to long. More strength in frame that can develop as he incorporates both halves.
