Porter Newell is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Goddard, KS who attends Bishop Carroll Catholic High S. Medium size frame. Ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. Primary infielder with fundamental footwork directly to the baseball, fields the ball consistently clean out front, gather the feet and shows a solid average throwing arm across. Ability to make all the routine plays in the outfield with momentum working through the baseball and an average throwing arm. Hit from an open stance with toe tap timing at the plate. Some quickness to the wrists and a level path through the zone, casts the hands some and showed a primary opposite field approach. Showed a fastball and slider on the mound out of a three-quarter arm slot. Solid average arm speed on the fastball and the slider showed shorter break to it. Showed some feel to pitch and throw strikes consistently on the mound. Good student.
