Alfonso Salcines is a 2010 LHP with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian School. Medium frame with strong lower half. Simple turn/throw delivery, extended 3/4's release. Touched 84 mph with FB in the Metrodome, good tailing action. Depends on sharp breaking CB, good bite and depth, downer shape. Type who pitches backwards off CB and can do so successfully with command. Can pitch. Possible big winner at the next level.. Good student. Verbal to Miami.
