Utilizes an effortless delivery down the mound. Throws from a low 3/4 arm slot. The fastball sat 71-73 mph with the ability to be thrown around the zone often. The offering generated weak ground balls fairly often. Flashed the ability to create depth on a mid-60s curveball. Still refining the consistency of the pitch. Has time to further develop mechanics and pitch mix. Also worked out at first base. Showed a patient approach on ground balls with the ability to catch the routine ball. Arm strength translated across the diamond, producing accurate feed with a fair amount of carry. Threw 71 mph during defensive workouts. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an open stance with a narrow base and vertical bat setup. Uses a big hanging leg kick timing mechanism. Flashed decent bat speed on a slight uppercut path. Has some feel for the barrel. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
