Ryan Murray-Lopez is a 2007 RHP/2B/3B with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Jamal CA, who attends Steele Canyon HS. Murray-Lopez has a long, rangy body and though he is not typically tall for a pitcher and he has a good pitcher's frame. He pitches from an over the top slot with a long arm action. His arm works with pretty easy effort and he has a patient, good delivery, with some rhythm between his hands and feet that is a display of good body control. As he develops, he should really be able to manipulate the baseball at a maximum extension point. Murray-Lopez is a strike thrower. The longer his outing went, the better his stuff got. He uses the fastball well, showing the ability to pitch on both sides of the plate with it. His fastball topped at 81, while sitting 77-80. There were times he cut the fastball, with quite a bit of action on it. Murray-Lopez's curveball is big and slow, serving as a chance of pace pitch that can upset the hitters' timing. He showed a good feel for the zone overall and he can pitch. He is a solid student too.
