Ian Nunez is a 2027 C/SS/OF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Downey, CA who attends Warren. Lean and athletic young build, projects well physically. Primary catcher on defense, has athletic lower half actions and moves well side to side, has a good idea on his footwork and transfers, made strong game throws, plays the position with good energy. Plenty athletic enough to play in the infield and especially outfield as well, runs the sixty in 7.37. Right handed hitter, starts from a high hand load, full effort swing with a big stride into contact, gets too downhill at times, has the tools to hit with some mechanical adjustments. Good student. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
