2021 March Northern CA Workout Camp Sunday
Samuel Gomez is a 2023 3B/OF with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Napa, CA who attends Vintage. Medium frame with a very physical present build. Ran a 7.35 second 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, physicality limits overall range but the glove works at multiple angles and he builds momentum well into strong throws across the diamond clocked up to 80 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, takes a more deliberate approach to the ball but funnels it cleanly to a longer arm stroke that creates good carry on throws to bags. Right-handed hitter, sets up slightly open; has good length and strength to the swing as he gets the bat head way out front and generates easy lift while showing enough impact strength to drive the ball out of the yard to all fields. Outstanding student. Named to 2021 March Northern California Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
