Brayden Richards is a 2025 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Cuthbertson. Really solid athletic build with present strength and plenty of projection. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 7.16 seconds. Primary position 1B, working through his reps with comfort around the bag. Solid footwork. Tends to get the glove down a touch late but the hands work well and secures the play consistently. Making all the plays and lets his arm work, showing throws up to 77 mph. Secondary RHP, working from the full windup and accelerating through his 3/4 arm angle. Really turns hard in the core and accelerates the arm well. FB up to 79 mph with some ride and commands the zone well. Bigger CB that needs some velocity over time but has good spin and proper shape. CH is another solid offering in the low-70s with fading action. RHH with an even stance, tight initial handset and hanging toe tap trigger to get things moving. Fires hands well and uses positive shift into contact. Line drive contact with carry, especially when he stays gap to gap. Can lift the ball with some authority. Interesting two-way potential to follow and he is an excellent student too.
