Marcus Pollard is a 2028 SS/MIF, OF with a 5-2 97 lb. frame from Beaverton, OR who attends Sunset. A lean build with athleticism in his frame. Will continue to add strength as he continues to fill out moving forward. Ran an 8.70 60-yard dash. A primary shortstop/middle infielder. His feet were quick, getting the glove to the ball and making good picks. His throws across were accurate and at 63 mph with room to keep improving moving forward. In-game his defense was smooth with collected throws across. He stays in control of his actions, with very projectable movements. A left-handed hitter with high-set hands and a low-back elbow. He has a very wide base with a subtle stride and quick lift into said stride. He showed a direct path to the baseball with some feel for the barrel. He matched planes with his hands getting through the zone to produce good contact. Lots to like about his actions in the batters' box. Has tools to keep building upon moving forward.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
