Jadiel Olmo is a 2024 SS with a 5-4 105 lb. frame from Reno, NV who attends Pine Middle School. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, stays down and works behind ball, shows actions moving up the middle, glove plays at the ball, occasionally gets uphill with release, arm strength will continue to develop on throws across. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a lower hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Best contact when working on a linear path, gets closed with front side, looks to lift at times and shows comfort working to pull side, gets around the ball at point of contact occasionally. Good student.
