Matt Sauser is a 2023 RHP/SS with a 6-3 167 lb. frame from Bloomington, IL who attends University. Slender and long athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Good lower half drive to the plate, fast arm coming through, front side can get quick and early at times. Drives his fastball downhill well, works at the bottom of the zone consistently, topped out at 91 mph early but worked in the mid to upper 80's, plenty more velocity there as he physically matures. Curveball showed good power and spin, still developing consistency in his release and feel but the ability to spin it is there. Good student. Verbal commitment to Iowa.
