Dekaron McGruder is a 2022 OF with a 6-3 167 lb. frame from Natchez, MS who attends Natchez. Large frame with a lean, athletic type build showing plenty of fast twitch muscle. Ran a 6.65 second sixty yard dash. Utilized he speed on the base paths. Primary Outfielder, proving to have range as he covers plenty of real estate. Aggressive routes to the baseball as he gathers to the side. Works into transfers and threw it 74 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting from a balanced position with an open front side. Low leg lift to stride as he creates bat wrap over the helmet. Longer swing path as he stays linear through the zone. Proved he could drive it gap to gap as he peppered the middle of the field.
