Evan Butler is a 2025 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Cassville, MO who attends Cassville. A lean medium size frame with plenty of projection remaining. Ran a 7.95 60-yard dash. Primary RHP that worked out of the stretch only. Has a medium leg lift with drop and drive mechanics and a release from a high three-quarter arm slot. Showed a straight four-seam fastball up to 83 and a two-seam fastball with some sink in the upper 70's. Curve was thrown with slurvy shape to it. Maintained arm speed on the change up with some fading action to the pitch. Developing strike throwing ability. In the infield shows the fundamental footwork, hands and average arm strength to make all the plays. Will need to improve lateral quickness but the reliable playmaking ability is there. At the plate hit from an even base and square stance with a small leg kick timing. Harder on the front side, pushes the hands through some, maintains a level bat path and rotates through on the back side well. Gets the barrel to the baseball with just need to add some strength and bat speed to really start impacting the baseball. Excellent student in the classroom.
