Roberto Gonzalez is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-8 190 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Jersey Village. Thick and strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open narrow base with a tight hand load, short upper body driven swing, works middle away, tends to fire his hands late, has some power in there with adjustments. 8.64 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up low and comes out of his crouch well, makes accurate throws with developing arm strength. Also plays some third base. Took a turn on the mound, works from a simple wind up and a high 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well and throws strikes. Fastball worked in the low 70's and topped out at 73 mph, mostly straight. Tends to drop his arm slot and slow his arm on his breaking ball.
