2023 California Workout Showcase (Saturday)
Damian Youngman is a 2025 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Laguna Hills, CA who attends Laguna Hills. Medium athletic build with a strong lower half. Right handed hitter, hits from a medium base with a small stride into contact, turns his lower half well and creates some bat speed, has some pull side lift, can develop more consistency in his approach but has hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, gets good carry on his throws from an over the top arm slot, third base actions overall. Also worked out in the outfield. Took a turn on the mound, high 3/4's arm slot with a medium length arm take away. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with some carry up in the zone. Change up was an advanced pitch with arm speed and a well tunneled release. Had some depth on his curveball as well. Threw strikes with all three pitches. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
