Braylon Edwards is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Madison Central. Athletic build. Primary middle infielder that preps well into a efficient first step. The footwork gets touch choppy at approach but is able to present the pocket on time and work through it on occasion. Prototypical arm action and release for a middle infielder with well above average carry for the age. In the outfield, he charges with athleticism, fielding in rhtyhm and consistently worked downhill through the release. Solid carry from the spot as well with loose arm action. At the plate, from the right side he sets up with tall square stance working into a subtle early kick. Hands work linear to impact. From the left side, the stance is an open spread with a touch more loft in the path. For the most part was line drive oriented middle to pull from either side. On the mound, its a low effort operation, minimal drive down the slope. Long fluid arm stroke and high three-quarters release create an ease to the whole operation. Fastball plays straight, eluding the zone early on. Spun one decent breaker down in the zone and got a groundball. Could benefit from attacking the zone to give himself more opportunities for count leverage but the refinements in command will surely come with age. 7.09 60-yard. Outstanding student.
