Wes Ryan is a 2025 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Treasure Island, FL who attends Shorecrest Prep. Ran a 7.55 second sixty. Primary first baseman with a extra large frame and broad shoulder to fill out moving forward. Showed good actions at first base with deliberate footwork but enough arm strength and accuracy to make all the plays. Starts with a side step into a leg lift just below the belt. The arm action stays short an online through the back to a high three-quarters arm slot with some effort out front. Worked mostly to the glove side with some sink on the fastball at 77-79 mph and getting some weaker contact. Slowed the arm a bit on the breaking ball with 11-5 shape in the low 70's while the changeup moved with arm side fade in the low 70's as the third pitch. Right-handed hitter. Did a nice job being on time with a simple set up and load. Was able to attack the inside part of the baseball with a linear path creating line drive contact to the pull side gap with young bat speed. Good student.
