Austin Alonso is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Rockton, IL who attends Boylan Central Catholic. At the plate; starts in a spread out stance with low hands; busy in the box and has solid rhythm. Shows intent in swing with some bat speed. Heavy pull approach. Squared up the ball over half his BP round. Defensively works through the baseball using proper foot/glove mechanics but would benefit from a cleaner first step; Developing arm strength. On the mound he features a 2-pitch mix (fastball, knuckleball) coming out of an over the top arm slot. The knuckleball is his out pitch an induces weak contact. Clocked a 7.5 60-yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
