Gregory Ontiveros is a 2026 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from San Marcos, CA who attends Mission Hills. Features a wiry build with athleticism present. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and in the outfield. Charges the ball hard in the outfield. Caught the routine ball well. Still developing consistent glove timing. High effort thrower. Shows good arm speed within short arm action throws. Produced quality carry, throwing 80 mph during workouts. Arm strength translated to the infield. Was accurate with a majority of throws, while producing on-line carry. Showed quality range in both directions using quick footwork. Solid glove actions caught the ball well. Athleticism plays from both spots defensively. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a wide base. Swings on a short, direct path. Approach stays through the middle of the field. Flashed some feel for the barrel. Incorporating the lower half more would help generate more power. Also threw the ball well on the mound. Righthanded pitcher. Utilizes a quick, athletic delivery down the mound. Throws using a short, quick arm action. Has good arm speed present. The fastball sat 74-78 mph with tons of armside run. Has good life at the bottom of the zone. Will throw the offering to both sides of the plate. Showed the ability to spin a mid-60’s curveball well. Creates good depth on the offering. Has good feel for an upper-60’s changeup with heavy armside run. Still refining the overall command of all three offerings. Intriguing athletic upside with interesting stuff present. Excellent student. Named to the 13u/14u West Showcase Top Prospect List.
