Gavin Gottschall is a 2027 IF/RHP/C with a 4-11 85 lb. frame from Henderson, NV who attends Foothill. Slender build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.74 seconds. From behind the dish, has a square slight saddle set up, gets out of the crouch quickly. Has a short arm action with a quick transfer displaying soft throws. Clocked a 3.15 on throws down to second base. Also worked out in the infield, worked through the ball with rough hands, still developing infield actions. From the mound, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a slight drop and drive delivery. Has a long arm delivery, repeats well, threws a lot of strikes. The fastball sat 50-54 mph. At the plate, hits from a square balanced stance with a leg lift trigger. Has a flat path through the zone, transfers his weight well, consistently hit the ball up the middle. Great Student.
