Benjamin Kim is a 2023 C/RHP, MIF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Archbishop Mitty. Medium frame with a lean build showing some room to fill out down the road. Ran a 7.09 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, setting up comfortably as he is flexible with the lower half. Receives the baseball with two hands at times. Fundamental in his footwork as he does a good job of gaining ground on throws. Accurate to the bag and recorded a 2.02 second pop time. Secondary Middle Infielder, proving to have some lateral range as he worked cleanly to and through the baseball. Wider base when he gathers as he scoops it up with some feel. Quick transitions and then threw it 76 mph with accuracy during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced as he works into separation. Proved to have some bat speed as he was steep to and through the zone. Looks to stay inside the baseball and drive it back up the middle. Outstanding Student.
