Chris Tortorella is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-5 110 lb. frame from Westfield, NJ who attends Union Catholic. Primary shortstop, works through the ball well, good footwork, clean funnel and backhand, has some lateral range, delivered accurate throws, recorded arm strength up to 70 mph across the diamond, projects well as a fielder. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full wind-up delivery, slower-paced operation, belt-high leg lift. Filled up the zone with the fastball, topped it out at 67 mph, projects for more velocity as he continues to add strength. Right-handed hitter, starts in a narrow slightly open stance, hover trigger, creates some separation, produced soft liners to the middle of the field, recorded an exit velocity of 61 mph. Ran an 8.38 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.
