Cooper Deason is a 2026 2B/C, MIF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Harrison. Young, square shouldred frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.40 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, shows some footwork on the approach with balance to actions, funnels into middle of body and into a longer arm stroke, higher release, moves well up the middle, arm strength will continue to develop. Also caught, square stance behind the plate in set up, deliberate pace to transfer and can continue to quicken, tends to open front side early, 2.28 best pop time. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing. Quickness to hands and has a feel for mechanics, contact oriented approach, shows the ability to go the other way, has tools to improve upon moving forward with added strength. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
