Dylan Vanderschuyt is a 2025 3B/RHP with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Medford, NY who attends Patchogue-Medford. Recorded a 7.59 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, athletic looking frame with a high waist, long limbs and plenty of room to fill out. Primary third baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Incorporates fundamentally sound footwork into the fielding process, while fielding out in front with some stiffness to his hands and slight anticipation. Displayed ability to range fairly well to either side, while transferring into an over-the-top arm action to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 65 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Uptempo delivery with high leg and hand lift into balance that creates some deception as he moves down the slope. Incorporates short stride out to foot strike, rotational lower half movements to create torque and a some effort in his delivery. Fastball worked in the upper-60s for the majority of his outing, topping out at 70 mph from an over-the-top arm slot. Strike thrower with developing command of the strike zone, will continue to improve with minor refinements mechanically and additional velocity as he matures. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small inward stride into contact. Incorporates slight sink of the hips and deep hand load to get to launch. Middle-to-opposite field approach with developing bat-to-ball skills and feel for the barrel. Tends to drift forward onto front foot which causes some timing issues, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
