Axel Vetelino is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Winter Park. An extra-large frame with a slender build. Length in the lower half. Room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.67 60-yard dash. A primary right-handed pitcher who worked out of the stretch with a leg lift up over the belt. He works down the mound with trunk tilt producing throws from an over-the-top arm slot. He was pretty much straight over the top, creating some downhill on his pitches. The breaking ball had a 12-6 shape with depth to it from that high slot. Landed it for strikes and filled up the zone overall. Struck out 6 opposing hitters over 2.2 innings pitched. A right-handed hitter with a wider base and high-set hands with the back elbow up. Had a direct path through the zone with some strength to the middle of the field. Gets the front foot down and works through the zone, getting extended at times. Found some barrels during his round of BP. Had four hits during the games, routinely finding ways on base. Also worked out as an outfielder moving well with fluid movements. Fielded it up the middle of his body and let the throws go. Also worked out as a first baseman with good footwork around the bag. Throws were on target across the infield and to second.
