Stone Batia is a 2024 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Brandon, MS who attends Puckett. Slender young build with lots of room and time to fill in and get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a calm and fluid load, big leg raise timer can sometimes leave him late getting his foot down, solid fundamental swing to build from as he adds strength, pull line drive contact. 7.88 runner in the sixty. Has athletic actions in the infield on defense, has a long and loose arm action that creates some young carry, also plays the outfield. Took a turn on the mound, has athleticism in his delivery with pretty clean mechanics, slow to fast operation with a quick arm at release. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, showed nice spin and tilt on a mid-60's curveball, also threw a change up. Good young athlete who should improve in all areas as he gets stronger, which is the big key to his development as he's already been well coached.
