Andrew Chandler is a 2022 C/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Marshville, NC who attends Union Academy. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 7.63 runner in the sixty. Has good defensive fundamentals behind the plate, repeats his exchange well, receives the ball cleanly and confidently, compact arm action, tends to stand up to throw instead of driving lower half towards his target, sound overall catcher who played with some energy. Right handed hitter, hits from a bent knee stance with a high hand load, limited lower half shift and tends to stay on his back side, upper body rotational swing. Very good student.
