Ryan Karman is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Sayville, NY who attends Sayville. Recorded a 8.29 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lanky frame with a high waist and plenty of room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher; full windup delivery with side-step rocker into a high leg lift, drop and drive lower half mechanics, and shorter stride out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the upper-60s for most of his outing, topping out at 72 mph from a high 3/4's arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone that will continue to improve with minor mechanical adjustments and additional strength. Mixed in loose 11-5 shaped curveball that he was able to land for strikes occasionally and disrupt hitters timing. Secondary outfielder with deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process, fielding out in front properly and working into a modified crow-hop. Recorded developing arm strength up to 72 mph during drills with some accuracy to the plate. Will continue to improve with mechanical refinement and additional arm strength. Right-handed hitter that hits from spread stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates slight weight shift into contact with stride, while displaying an elongated downward swing plane and developing bat-to-ball skills. Middle-of-the field approach with occasional soft line drive impact. Young, developing prospect that will continue to improve with additional strength and maturity. Good Student.
