2023 Coastal Workout Showcase
John Miedreich is a 2026 SS/2B with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Greer, SC who attends Riverside. Good frame with some current musculature and explosive athletic actions with more time to develop. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 7.10 seconds. Primary position IF, attacking the ball with a quick first step and showing solid lateral mobility. Emerging glove work but secures the ball consistently and works into a deep funnel to transfer. Plenty of arm strength with emerging control and impressive velocity up to 81 mph across the diamond. Good projection here. Switch hitter. From the left side, uses a wide stance in his legs and lays bat flat on shoulder to start. Small shift to load and shows present hand speed. Middle of the field impact as he turns the barrel hard showing some projectable juice. From the right side, same wide setup a bit more in his legs and using hanging leg lift. Swings with intent and creates a line drive path as he peppers the ball gap to gap. Outstanding student too.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
