Sean Cantwell is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-3 193 lb. frame from West Islip, NY who attends West Islip. Long, lanky frame with broad shoulders and plenty of room to add strength. Recorded a 7.86 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with compact, slightly coiled leg lift and shorter stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 76 mph from an over-the-top arm slot. Strike thrower with some command to either side of the plate, mixed in a 12-6 shaped curveball with gradual vertical depth and some intrigue as he gains more velocity. Frame dictates room for more strength, as he will surely add more velocity as he physically matures. Secondary first baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Showed deliberate pace to his footwork, a higher fielding funnel and some agility on his throws. Recorded arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with slightly elongated swing path and developing bat-to-ball skills. Generates some leverage out in-front and will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
