Niko Vega is a 2022 C/3B, OF with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Florida Virtual. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with some present strength to the frame. Starts from a higher set and repeated mechanics well. Showed solid arm strength and throws were consistently low, on-line, and accurate to the bag. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base, even feet, and high hands. Employs deep load and swing is hands-oriented. Utilized a middle of the field approach with lots of line drives. Also showed the ability to go the other way with some pop. Great student.
