Carson Johnson is a 2023 RHP with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Hamilton. Long and lean young pitchers build. Has a clean delivery on the mound, good balance over the rubber with a hard drive downhill, gets over his front side well, works downhill from a high 3/4's arm slot, has good pace and repeats his mechanics well. Fastball worked up to 88 mph with nice plane, threw his fastball for strikes and had an idea of throwing to spots. Second pitch was a mid-70's breaking ball that he got on top of well with good arm speed and release. Two solid present pitches with the ability to throw strikes and plenty of projection. Good student.
