Cort Lowry is a 2024 RHP/1B, UT with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Franklin, TX who attends Franklin. Lean athletic build. Defensively, he preps into a quick first step, the glove works in unison with the feet. Clean arm stroke with moderate carry across the diamond. At first base, lacks urgency to really get through the ball but showed clan footwork around the bag and fed the double play ball accurately. At the plate, he sets up with even base and hands in tight. The stroke is compact with looseness in the hands.Approach is geared through the middle of field. On the mound, Hands start at chest, then has a very quick delivery . Arm at times struggles to catch up with the body, needs to watch that. Fastball has quick arm action and explodes on the hitter. Some slight armside run. Slider has hard break that moves away with depth. The Slider is his best off-speed pitch as of now. Also, a curve has tight spin and more of 1/5 break. Can throw the secondary stuff at anytime, has good command of it. Cort is uncommitted, and has the arm strength and stuff to change this fact in the future. 7.35 60-yard. Outstanding student.
